Hello Blog!

So lately I feel like the man in picture, to me it seems as though he is trying to figure out somethings and somehow it seems like it might help to carry a chair on top of his head in the process. A walking meditation of sorts.

So many things have been running through my mind lately and I have been processing them quietly in my own way. As my personal life is starting to feel a little more settled here in Charlotte, I am now trying to forge a path of where I am headed professionally. I am so grateful that I have had the gift of time and space to find a life here in Charlotte. It has allowed for me to have such a more gentle transition here, but I am ready for more.

So moving on, I am in the process of discovering where I want to go with web design. Right now I am focusing on contract positions, freelance opportunities and anything else that comes my way. In the next week I will be launching a re-design of my current website that will be able to better show my designs and artworks, exciting! More than anything, I am just showing up to do the work and I want to remain open to what transpires for me. I have a tendency to let my fears hold me back from pursuing opportunities: I don't have the right skill sets, I am not "techy" enough, etc. For today I am choosing to believe that I DO have something to offer, we all do.

Wishing you all a wonderful day. It was so chilly here in Charlotte this morning, 32 degrees, it was fun to see frost!

In college my friends and I had two methods of thinking through a situation: standing on our desk chairs or putting a strip of Scotch tape across our noses. The first gave us a different perspective, and the second... well, it was just funny and weird. I never thought of them as meditations, but in a way, I think they were. Be careful with that chair over your head and you'll be just fine.
